General Info

Hi there! I'm Alainey, a fic writer who specializes in soft/fluffy SFW fic. I've been a hobbyist fandom writer for many years now, and I'm very grateful for your interest in my work!This carrd is relatively long, but contains a lot of information about my commission process and what you should expect. Please read through everything before contacting me for a commission, and you'll find the entire process to be much smoother than it otherwise would.

Note: Although I'm primarily a SFW writer, I'm willing to write NSFW on a case-by-case basis, and would be willing to point you in the direction of my alt account for samples. As a general rule, I don’t write or post NSFW on my main account, but would be willing to write private NSFW commissions provided I’m comfortable with the content.As always, I have the right to decline a commission due to my own comfort in writing the material requested. Listed above are my current main fandoms. That said, I'm very willing to write for most games/series that I have some amount of familiarity with (even if I'm not in the fandom), so feel free to inquire about it if you're curious.Additionally, I'm happy to work with OCs + D&D characters, provided you give me enough info on their personality and/or world in order for me to adequately write them.

Pricing

$15 drabbles (100 - 200 words)
$25 ficlets (500+ words)
$50 fics (1k+ words)

Note: I write drabbles for free on a semi-regular basis, but only for specific fandoms and in line with specific prompts. If you’d like a drabble that sits outside of that sphere, then the $10 option is for you.If you’d like a fic that’s longer than 1k, please let me know and I’d be happy to discuss! Generally, every additional 500 words that you want will be an additional $25 (calculated at $0.05 per word, and rounded down to the nearest 500).The word count that we agree upon will function as a minimum word count for the fic that I produce, and any additional words that I write past that point will be free.

Terms of Service

I, as the author, retain the rights to my work. I reserve the right to post your commission online (publicly or privately) on sites such as Archive of Our Own (ao3) or on my personal writing portfolio. If you'd like your commission to remain fully private and/or do not want me to use it as a future sample, please let me know prior to payment, and I'll be happy to negotiate this with you.Additionally, I ask that you, as the commissioner, agree not to resell my work in any manner. Private use and full (or partial) reposting to other websites is permitted, as long as I am cited as the original author of the work.If you have any questions about the above or wish to negotiate commercial rights to your commission, please feel free to DM me. FAQ

How will the payment process work?
Once we've agreed upon your fic concept + word count (but prior to payment), I'll send you an outline with my general plans for your fic. Once approved, I'll send you a Paypal invoice, and you'll pay the agreed-upon amount prior to the fic being written. From then on, I'll be working on your fic, and will send you updates approximately once a week until the fic is complete.Can I request any changes to the fic once it's been completed?
Totally! As long as your requests are relatively minor, then I'll be happy to make whatever changes you want upon completion of your fic. That said, I won't be willing to do huge overhauls of scenes, so please make sure you're OK with the outline I give you prior to my writing of the fic!How many commissions will you be taking at a time?
Only one. Anyone who contacts me after I've accepted a commission will be added to a waitlist (provided they're interested in being so). I'm willing to add up to 3 individuals to my waitlist, and will update those on it with wait time ETAs (at the same regular intervals that I update my commissioner on the progress of their fic).How long will it take you to write my fic?
Drabbles (100-200 words) will take me a day or two to polish, and ficlets (500+ words) will take me approximately a week. Anything more than that will depend on the nature of your commission and how comfortable I already am writing the characters requested.Are you willing you write X or Y scenario/topic?
Content I'm comfortable with is decided on a case-by-case basis, depending on both your pitch and the characters you pitch the fic with. As with any other writer/artist, I have my own strengths and preferences as to what I like to write, and if I don't believe that I can do your pitch justice, then I will be sure to say as much prior to concept/word count agreement.If you have any other questions/concerns that aren't covered here, please DM me!
